Bands Bearded Allies Has Worked With:
Look Mexico
"Look Mexico specialise in jangly indie-pop music, and the rather good sort at that. With soothing, spirited vocals, melodic bass and drums that'll get your feet nodding and your head tapping. Which is usually a good thing unless you happen to have epilepsy."

The Couch
"The Couch is a quartet that also contains members of The Calm Blue
Sea and Frank Smith (a band name, not a dude). [...] 2011 saw them release three different EPs before drawing on that
material for a full-length release. They’ve been recognized by KUT,
they’ve opened for the Toadies, and it generally seems that things are
starting to come together for these guys.
The two lead singles, “The Way You Came” and “Close to You,” are both
high-energy rock tracks. “The Way You Came,” in particular, is a
favorite of mine for its stuttering blues shuffle and explosive chorus.
“Close to You,” though, seems to be getting more of the early accolades
and is, I think, a bit more accessible while still retaining a rock
edge. Despite a strong start, the album isn’t perfect; “DOKAT,” for
example, is kind of a 70s hard rock retread. But “Hummingbird Rita,”
which follows it on the album, is their most interesting song – a slower
number that places prominent emphasis on the keyboard. And album closer
“Indian Doctor” continues to prove that The Couch are a versatile rock
band, with many directions they could go in the future." - Carter @ http://ovrld.com
Sphynx
"Here we've got a new breed, sharing a pedigree with Passion Pit and early MGMT...The whole thing comes together well, not too earnest, not too self-aware, the right amount of fun."
-My Old Kentucky Blog
"Sphynx is raucous and bouncy, all primary-colored ’80s synths and dancey drums..while my initial instinct is to dislike ‘em, the music on debut Human Beast is relentlessly, unstoppably addictive. The band’s seriously distilled all the best parts of the synth-pop scene from three decades back and infused it with a wide-grinning glee to make a concoction that’s hard to resist." -Space City Rock

Fresh Millions
"Samples and other electronic sounds give Fresh Millions' fun, fresh instrumental rock music a modern flair, but it's live instruments that make the music pop. While the final result may recall the collage work of The Avalanches, the approach to get there is anything but analogous. Instead of utilizing hundreds of vinyl-sourced clips and effects to form a three- to four-minute work, the live nature of "Forever" utilizes a more organic touch to achieve similar results. The resulting patchwork is as danceable as it is rocking — a winning combination if ever there was one." -NPR Song of the Day
Zorch
Zorch is an experimental/noise rock duo from Austin, TX. Zac Traeger (keyboards, omnichord, vocals) and Shmu (drums, omnichord, vocals) work incessantly to produce a new kind of musical experience; the breadth of their creative output is intimidating. From a Rod Stewart cover project (with songs constructed on Stewart’s lyrics alone) or Shmu’s side project of evocative and expertly composed shoegaze, to a hefty collection of improvisational mixtapes, they have surely mastered eclecticism. Along with the constant creative flow that Traeger and Shmu produce, they are always inventing new ways to bring their fans into their live shows and work.
Coniferous
Coniferous is the side project of Sam Chown, the drummer of Zorch. "It’s basically a rawer, more sludgy/noisy version of their usual psychedelic & experimental rock, mixing sounds similar to Lightning Bolt, Zach Hill, the Melvins, Porn, Who’s Your Favorite Son, God?, etc." - Gregski1111 on last.fm
The White White Lights
The White White Lights blend the delicate and violent in equal parts, creating vivid and potent songs that both seduce and destroy. Fans of Sonic Youth, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pixies, Butthole Surfers, and similarly iconic bands will likely appreciate this sound.
"The quartet throws down brashly fueled dance-punk riffs while Jenny Gacy feverishly balances furious howls and sultry, delicate, intricate pop." - The Austin Sound

Coma In Algiers
"The caustic, circuit-fried cacophony of Coma In Algiers splits a few diodes with early industrial naifs like Cabaret Voltaire, but it’s the Austin group’s flat-palmed approach to genre-mashing—and keyboard playing—that makes it stand out in town. Angular guitar stabs and David Thomas-esque mutters nod to a kinship with plenty of picked-over post-punk bands, but it’s CIA’s willingness to be ugly that gets in your face and screams to be noticed." - AV Club Austin
Wiretree
Austin's Wiretree began as the solo recording project of singer-songwriter Kevin Peroni. After releasing the LP Bouldin in 2007, Peroni recruited his wife Rachel (bass) and two friends Joshua Kaplan (guitar) and Daniel Blanchard (drums) to solidify the project. The group released their sophomore effort Luck in 2009, finding it's way on various year-end best of lists (Blurt, Absolute Powerpop, etc.) while being labeled Blurt Magazine's "Best Kept Secret." After playing their official 2010 SXSW showcase, the band is now working on a their new album due for release in 2011.
